Description
Shopping for a gift for the Mom who has everything? This year, give her the gift of immortality, a one-of-a-kind tropical bloom that can be named and registered in her honor.
What Do Plumerias Symbolize?
The plumeria flower, or frangipani, is well-known as the flower that adorns Hawaiian leis. These beautiful blooms symbolize love, birth, and immortality, and have huge significance and meaning in Hawaiian culture, although they have spread in popularity around the world.
In Buddhist culture, the plumeria represents immortality. This is probably because the tree will bloom even if it is uprooted. The tree is considered sacred, and in Laos is planted outside every Buddhist temple.
The plumeria is often recommended as a gift for recipients who have endured, and overcome, many challenges, because the tree will grow even when uprooted, will survive harsh conditions, and must be heated to over 500 degrees to catch fire.
What Makes This Gift Unique
Parent plants grow seed pods with up to 70 seeds inside – each seed different from the next. Because the seedlings are all different, a plumeria grown from seed will create a unique plant, with flowers different from the parent and from its fellow seedlings.
These third year seedlings are ready to sprout their leaves and bloom for the first time, revealing a beautiful and unique plant that can be named and registered with the Plumeria Society of America in honor of your loved one. For assistance with the registration process, email us at love@paradisepetals.net.
Each seedling has been raised with love at our nursery in Naples, Florida. For care instructions, email Maritza@paradiseplumerias.com.
Each seedling-sized tree comes in a decorative pot. Hardy indoors and out. These trees are fast growers but will survive pot life and bloom prolifically as house plants.
